Welcome to Concord Junior School

On behalf of all the staff, I would like to welcome you to our school website.

At Concord, we believe that learning is a lifelong process and it is vital that we give children the best possible start in their lives. Our vision for outstanding education is a school in which children are at the centre of all that takes place and they are safe, happy, enjoy their time in school and achieve. At Concord, we aim to provide high quality learning and teaching that includes practical and first-hand experiences which are interesting and exciting, based on a sound knowledge and understanding of each child’s needs. Our school offers a stimulating environment that nurtures and challenges every child.

Concord is an inclusive school that promotes equal opportunities for all children ensuring every child is equally valued and that all children are enabled to reach their full potential regardless of ethnicity, gender, disability or race.

At Concord, we believe children's educational development should be under-pinned with a curriculum that promotes and develops effective communicators, problem solvers and creative thinkers, and competent users of IT. All children are encouraged to contribute, succeed, develop independence, self-confidence, high self-esteem, foster care, courtesy and consideration for each other.

We aim to foster a strong relationship between parents/carers and friends of the school and parents/carers are welcome at all times. Parents/carers are encouraged to attend class assemblies and celebration events throughout the year, and are invited to attend consultation meetings to discuss their child’s progress regularly.

A wide range of after-school clubs are provided by our dedicated teaching team and friends of the school, including, football, homework clubs, film and art clubs.
